VFF5 Visual Fault Finder
- Visible 650nm red laser in a rugged torch style design. Non-roll design deters rolling off of desks
- Uses include:
- Continuity checking of fibre optic systems
- Identifying fibre ports in densely populated cabinets
- Polarity checking of duplex 2 fibre connectors, links and patch cords
- Fibre break locating. Red laser light is emitted from breaks in 250µm primary coated or 900µm buffered fibres and up to 3mm jacket patch cords
- Continuous wave or flashing mode (which can make it easier to see the light in congested cabinets)
- Operates up to 5km on multimode or singlemode fibre systems
- Powered by 2 x AA batteries (included). Carrying holster included
- The pen has a female universal 2.5mm ferrule interface (e.g. for FC, SC, ST, E2000 patch cords)
- To interface with LC and MU connectors please order the optional VFF5-1.25 adaptor
