Encircled Flux Compliant OLTS Kits With Wave ID & Results Storage
- Optical loss test kits from different manufacturers can exhibit variation in achieved test results due to differences in modal launch conditions of the light sources
- Encircled Flux Compliant light sources are designed to yield more accurate and consistent results
- The feature rich SMLP5-5 light source and power meter kit is now available with TIA 526-14-B and IEC 61280-4-1 Ed. 2.0 compliance
- Please note that both standards require the use of Reference Grade Test Cords on the light source as the Encircled Flux launch condition is specified at the end of the test cord rather than the light source output port
- Wave ID allows testing to be performed at two wavelengths simultaneously thus halving test times
- Automatic wavelength identification eliminates setup errors and simplifies coordination between users at each end of the fibre link under test. Please note that wavelength identification only works with the light source in the kit. The power meter cannot detect wavelengths from other sources or equipment
- Test results can be stored in memory and downloaded to a PC. Certification reports can be generated using TRM software (included)
- Supplied with an SC connector interface. Also available with FC. The connectors can be changed in the field (or removed for port cleaning)
- Measurements can be made in dB, dBm or µW
- Quad wavelength multimode (850/1300nm) and singlemode (1310/1550nm)
